After completing a special training course in December 2019 in Beaver Creek, Colorado, Dr. Golant joined the United States Ski & Snowboard (USSA) medical volunteer pool. During the first week of January 2020, Dr. Golant traveled to Austria with the U.S. Ski Jumping Team, to cover two World Cup Tournament events. This particular competition, called The Four Hills Tournament (https://www.vierschanzentournee.com/en), is one of the biggest events of the year in the world of Ski Jumping. It takes place at 4 different locations – two in Germany, and two in Austria – and draws enormous crowds and TV coverage, as Ski Jumping is hugely popular in Europe and other parts of the world (including Japan and Russia). Dr. Golant covered the last two (most attended) events of the tournament – in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen, overseeing medical care for the US and the Canadian team.

On Friday, October 10th, 2014, Dr. Golant chaired the 4th Annual Continuing Medical Education Symposium, presented by the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation of the New York Presbyterian Queens .

The topic of this year's symposium was "All Things Hip: From Pediatric to Geriatric, And Everything In Between".  Over 100 health-care professionals attended this educational event, which covered a broad range of topics pertaining to injuries and conditions of the hip joint.

Dr. Golant has planned and organized every annual NYP/Q Orthopaedic Symposium since 2011.

Dr. Golant and his team “NYP/Q Ortho & Friends” successfully participated in fundraising for the Arthritis Foundation, including the NYC Walk to Cure Arthritis on May 17th, 2014. Dr. Golant’s team raised over $20,000, and the total amount raised by this event is near $400,000! April, 2014

In April 2014 Dr. Golant completed the 2-week long Advanced Arthroscopy Traveling Fellowship with the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Golant and his co-fellows were accompanied by their “Godfather” – a world-renown knee surgeon, Dr. Donald Johnson – as they visited some of the top orthopaedic institutions around the country, in order to gain additional insight into, and foster an exchange of scientific and technical information concerning arthroscopic surgery.
